I have petrified peeps in the back of the cupboard. If I soak them in water will they expand to 600% of their size?

16. I just bought 12 boxes of the green ones on Sunday - they're currently slow-cooking.
I cut the tiny slits in them and they're hardening up nicely - should be ready for St. Patrick's Day. It's funny because I bought peeps a week before and the only things in the cart were 5 boxes of Peeps and a big bottle of Jack Daniels. Sunday I bought 12 boxes of Peeps and a case of Guinness. Same check-out girl. God only knows what kind of a crack-head she thinks I am.
