I'm betting that this is a meth fire.
A neighboring fire district just got called out to a trailer fire in which the occupant has bad burns on his face, hands, and chest. Ambulance isn't there yet. FD just arrived on scene.

I hope that FD doesn't need any assistance from a neighboring district, and if they do, that we don't get called. My bet is that it's a meth fire.

:scared:

1. Yeah, that's a big problem in many areas.
The fumes alone can be toxic.

2. Scary.
I think that I was right. The fire inspector was just called to the scene.

3. Hope no one else has to go.
You'd need a HAZMAT team to go in there.

4. It's definitely what it is...
They just called in deputies to the scene and dispatched others to the hospital.

The FFs have oxygen tanks and turnouts, but they don't have hazmat suits.

Also--another tidbit, there was no electricity to the trailer. Sounds like a propane-powered meth lab, doesn't it?

6. Yes it sure does.
So there'd be the possibility of a gas explosion too. Lovely. God that's an ugly drug. Not that there are many beautiful ones but meth just seems to totally destroy everyone it touches.

5. is it a fema trailer?
Many of those have refrigerators that have problems with amonia leaks. Amonia leaks cause health problems and can cause fires.

They discovered that when one of the fema trailers burned and the Louisiana fire marshall called the gas folks out, knowing the trailers have propane.

FEMA hasn't really let fema dwellers know this, the local "action reporter" did a segment on it based on the tip from a RV dealer.

:hi:

I don't have that brand of refrig, I'm lucky.
