NCAA Tourney Pool!!!!!!!!11111111!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't it be more of a challenge to make your picks before the pairings are announced on Sunday. I'd do it if I had more time on my hands.

Here's my Final Four:
Air Force Academy
Louisville
Carnegie Mellon
University of North Carolina

Carnegie Mellon? (you must be an alum, right?) ;)

I wanna see Wright State, or Southern Illinois or some other underdog or bubble team win if it can't be Pitt.

(go Panthers!) :hi:

5. Carnegie Mellon is due
The beauty of the NCAA Tourney is anyone can win right?
Just for the record I attended the same school as Paul Wellstone, the school that won in 1957, 1982, 1993 and 2005.

8. cool!
I don't know anything about CMU's college b-ball record... I guess I should though. There are certainly plenty of articles about Robert Morris and Duquesne, though.

I dunno, think RMU might have more of a shot than CMU, but I could be wrong.

I entertain myself trying to decipher all the complex and obscure Conference names...

9. I picked Carnegie Mellon because of a recent conversation
An alum said all the alumni publications mention them beating Notre Dame in football 70 years ago, their foremost and only athletic achievement. I guess they have done a few worthwhile things for mankind with their engineering department though.

10. it's really interesting
my son has all these sports stat books, and in the early days of college football, it was always the Ivy League and the Milit. Academies that won all the time. LIke Penn, Harvard, Dartmouth, etc.

That was neat to see. I suspect that had something to do with there being many, many fewer colleges then.

It certainly isn't true now!

CMU has amazing robotics and computer departments. Lots of brilliant folks.

12. Well there is the fact that college sports became a business
And once that happened schools that were known for high standards and integrity had less success. Imagine that.
