3. If I remember correctly
You start with a pair of shoes that need repair. Leprechauns are cobblers and can't stand the sight of shoes that need repair. From there, I'm not sure what you do, but I believe that's how you start.

9. Why, thank you.
;)

We were just two crazy kids working for a radio station, doing a "celebrity bartender" gig for St. Pat's.

We weren't allowed to do anything but pull draft beer, though. No drink mixing for the novices. :D

8. Bait a Havahart trap with Lucky Charms.
You'll end up with more leprechauns than you know what to do with.

Leprechaun Trap

Supplies:
You can make a leprechaun trap out of almost anything you have at hand. Some suggestions are:
A box
Clean milk jug
Clean cans
Bags
An old shoe (remember, leprechauns are shoemakers and attracted to shoes needing repair)

Other things that might help to make the trap are:
Paper towel tube
Aluminum foil
String or cord
Netting
Glue
Tape
Paper and/or cardboard
Green paint or paper

Bait:
Shiny pennies
Gold foil coins
Jewelry (ask permission before using)

Directions:
Use your imagination!
1st. Decide what you will use to trap the leprechaun in; a box, basket, can, or other container.
2nd. What will you use for bait to attract the leprechaun to your trap? Place your bait inside the trap.
3rd. How will you trap him? Is the lid held up by a stick that is attached to the bait so when he tries to take the bait, the lid comes down and traps him? Do you have a net over the bait that will come down and trap him when he tries to get the bait? Maybe the way in gets narrower and narrower and once he is in, he can’t get back out. Look at some live animal traps for more ideas.

4th. Disguise the trap. Using leaves and branches is good; lots of green and natural outside looking items and colors work on leprechauns. Shamrocks and four-leaf clovers are very comforting items to leprechauns so you might want to use a lot of them on your trap. Leprechauns hate rainbows because they tell others where they have hidden their gold. But if they think they can find your gold by following a rainbow, they will be attracted to a rainbow. An Irish flag is green, white and orange. A leprechaun might feel at home with an Irish flag on the trap.

5th. Now set up your leprechaun trap somewhere away from where people generally gather. Leprechauns are solitary creatures and don’t trust humans.

How about taking (and posting) a pic of whatever you come up with?

Is it for your daughter's school?

14. Yes it is
I also just discovered that she does not own any green clothing items. And she does have some Irish heritage from my side of the family, so we will be getting her a green shirt, at least.

16. Exactly.
It will be fun to see how many of the Asians in her class will be wearing green on Friday. (They are doing the green thing a day early since March 17 is a Saturday.)

26. I remember making one, as part of a science thing.
All you really need is something to create vortices, like a trashcan with one open end and one very variable end.
