(For those of you who don't know, Mann was the original Rum Tum Tugger in "Cats" and Javert in the original Broadway production of "Les Miserables.")

Terrence Mann had a guest spot on the short-lived TV series "Love Monkey," playing Gordon Decker, a rock star who abandoned the music business after only one album. At the end of the episode, he performed a cover of "Maybe Then Someday," a song originally performed by Abandoned Pools. (In the show, it's supposed to be one of the songs intended for his unreleased sophomore album.) The song is brilliant no matter who sings it, but I thought Mann's vocal performance blew away the original. I'm on a quest to find a copy of the complete performance, rather than just what was used in the episode. (I'm assuming the entire vocal track was recorded, as the vast majority of it can be heard under dialogue.)

It seems as though Mr. Mann is working at Western Carolina University, but for obvious reasons, he's not listed on the faculty page, and there is no e-mail address for him. His official page went out of service in 2003 (yet is still being paid for, apparently, as it's still up). Since I know some of you are a) famous, or b) know famous people, I thought I'd throw this out there. :)

1. I don't know him, but I too am a big fan,
so I'll be happy to kick this for you. :hi:

I'd definitely suggest asking around at some Broadway message boards like Broadway World or the like. They're pretty knowledgeable about a wide range of actors.

:kick:

3. I went to school with Terry...
... at the North Carolina School of the Arts. He's a very nice guy (and a talented guy).

Why don't you try calling the theater department at WCU and ask them if he has a voice mail set up so that you can leave a message for him. Or at the least you can always write. It's not like Terry is a major movie star or anything, I'm sure they'll make some way to reach him available to you. Baring that, try contacting the NCSA alumni office to see if they have contact information for Terry.
