11. saturday will be good, one way or another.
i am really enjoying this. i have canvassed in other places, but this is my precinct, working for my very progressive, deaniac alderman. but even the anti folks are fun to talk to. after 20 years in this 'hood, i am finally getting to know my neighbors. it is too much fun.

5. Partly cloudy, low 40's.
Which is pretty good, for where I am.
I'm not complaining.

6. Unfortunately it's feeling like spring
Which means winter is basically done. We barely had one. Give me 15 degrees, with a windchill of -2, and snow, maybe even a few ice pellets, over this sunny crap with a bright sky. This time of year is just depressing. It's just starting, and only going to get worse.

7. ooooo.
actually, i like winter. in the city, winter days give you the chance to get out and have the place to yourself. but it is hard on this stupid body of mine, and i can't really get it through my head that it is a bad thing to charge out into it. at least i have finally invested in first rate winter gear, so at least i am properly armed.

It is supposed to go to the 80s this weekend. I hate it. I hate summer heat.

10. Sunny and - gasp! - warm!
By warm, I mean 51 degrees. The air smells like spring, like mud. There are no flowers anywhere so I brought some home from the grocery store and put them in a vase on the kitchen table. Sweet.

15. It's a perfect day here.
I have the house closed because the pollen is so thick and I can't breathe. Oh well. It's still pretty through the window.
