Pitched for San Diego in the club's first five years (they got him from the Phillies in the expansion draft), then became a dentist. I believe he's still practicing in the San Diego area.

quarterbacked the Vikings way back when and is a dentist. Frank Ryan quarterbacked the Browns and got a Ph.D. (Yeah, I know--different kind of doctor.) "Doc" Medich played pro baseball and is an M.D.
