Johnny Cash's Tennessee house burns down
NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Reuters) - The Tennessee home of late country icon Johnny Cash burned down on Tuesday as renovations were under way for its new owner, Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, a local newspaper reported.

Cash and his wife, June Carter Cash, lived together in the three-story, wooden lakeside house in Hendersonville, Tennessee, about 20 miles north of Nashville, from 1968 until they died within months of each other in 2003.

That's a shame. Curse you Barry Gibb! Just kidding, I know it wasn't his fault.

2. Oh, that hurts...
I hate to see any house consumed by fire....

But a historical one like this? Ouch.....

I wonder if it was a total loss?

The article didn't say....

3. The house preferred to go up in smoke over hosting a Bee Gee.
That's my take and I'm stickin' to it.

4. Ha
Maybe Johnny's ghost was all pilled up and said "Fuck this shit man". He would have done it in life, I see no reason not to think he could have done it from the other side..lol.

5. If I may ask...
what is with the picture in your profile?

I've been trying to figure it out for months. My best guess was that it's narrative. The the first cel, the vampire-bear-looking thing is groping Dubya. So now, in the second cel, he's a pointy-eared vampire.

I'm sure that's wrong, but it has me puzzled.

13. It's not narrative.
The one on the left was 'shopped from a still from The Shining, the other from a news photo. I just liked 'em both, they're not otherwise connected.

6. "Maybe it's the good Lord's way to make sure that it was only Johnny's house,"
Richard Sterban of the Oak Ridge Boys lives on the same road as Cash. "Maybe it's the good Lord's way to make sure that it was only Johnny's house," Sterban said.
