Those are all female fronted metal/hard rock bands that are popular right now and they sound awesome. For a long time metal and hard rock has been dominated by men. Especially metal. It turns out that the women can snarl and scream with the best of the men. If you are a fan of heavy music check out these tunes to see what I mean:

granted, she doesn't scream, but it's a great gothic metal band regardless. I also like Kidneythieves, though they lean more industrial metal.
