1. I say
"Lovely weather we're having. How's the family?"

Expert at somewhat dull, but polite conversations. Though not around here usually.

4. Not to be disagreeable in any way, but
it feels just a tad hot here. Perhaps I should cool off with a dip in the pool? Ah, now that would be refreshing!

still, you gotta love them.

And, I'm not only working out and getting enough sleep, but taking vitamins.

12. Sounds like you have all your bases covered!
Which reminds me, isn't there a ballgame being played by someone somewhere at this very minute? I do so love watching, and participating at times, in a ballgame!

Please give Biff and Buffy my warmest regards. Tell Colonel Bullroarer that I miss our in-depth conversations about the weather and fishing techniques. I'll see you this Spring at our little place in the Hamptons.

Edited on Sat Aug-02-03 02:55 PM by Benevolent_Rabbit
stand back now, here comes my backhand.

Polo is entertaining also, as is fox hunting.

edit: those foxes are so very hard to train, however. I never caught anything using them as guides. A shame really. Do you know how much a bag of fox chow costs these days? A pretty penny, I assure you.

25. Let me compliment you on that backhand. Yes, a backhand compliment.
I thought that whole thing about hunting naked foxes was just a hoax, though. Terrible business, whatever the truth. Those chaps ought to be jolly well given the righty-o, if you ask me, all the same. Simply beastly.

Marco...

21. You know, there's really nothing like a nice cold
glass of milk.
I mean really cold.
I prefer 2%. I know, it's sooo decadent.
I know that 1% is better for me, and skim would be even better.
But I simply can't resist the full bodied flavor and texture of a decent 2%.
I always decant it into a freshly washed crystal glass. Plastic or paper containers just don't do a fine 2% justice.
Have to run now. It's time to rotate the canned goods in my pantry.
tata

Smedley, Smedley darling! Come here, Smedley! Come on, get out of the nice gentleman's flowers. Here, let me give you some hay...

I'm dreadfully sorry, sir. Please, let me write you a cheque for the cost of the box plants.

That Smedley, you can dress him up, but you can't take him out.
