Blue-green colors flashing
I would be your only dream
Your shining autumn ocean crashing
And did you say she was pretty?
And did you say she loves you?
Baby, I don't want to know
I'll begin not to love you
Turn around, see me running
I'll say I loved you years ago
And tell myself you never loved me, no
And did you say she was pretty?
And did you say she loves you?
Baby, I don't want to know
Oh, no
And can you tell me, was it worth it?
Really I don't want to know
Time casts its spell on you
But you won't forget me
I know I could have loved you
But you would not let me
Time casts its spell on you
But you won't forget me
I know I could have loved you
But you would not let me
I'll follow you down 'til the sound
Of my voice will haunt you
You'll never get away from the sound
Of the woman that loves you
I'll follow you down 'til the sound
Of my voice will haunt you
(Was I just a fool?)
You'll never get away from the sound
Of the woman that loves you
(Was I such a fool?)
I'll follow you down 'til the sound
Of my voice will haunt you
(Give me just a chance)
You'll never get away
(Never get away, never get away, never get away)
From the sound
Of the woman that loves you
You could be my Silver Spring

This song was recorded during a live performance in 1996 called "The Dance", which was subsequently released as both an album and a concert video. This is a song that Stevie wrote for the "Rumours" album that was rejected at the last minute, which upset her greatly at the time, because she'd written it for and about Lindsay Buckingham. This performance of it is SPECTACULAR, made all the more intense and heart-wrenching because at the time of this performance, Stevie felt that this might be the last chance she'd ever have to sing this song onstage with Lindsay and the rest of the band. As the song approaches the last few refrains, she visibly screams out the lyrics right in Lindsay's direction, and he encourages her emotional outpouring. It's a masterpiece. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
This is my all-time favorite performance of my all-time favorite song, period.
