I went to a May Crowning yesterday....

the communion class that my daughter is in attended..(at least a good chunk of kids)...and all the little girls wore their communion gowns and the little boys wore their suits...

It was probably the best of the three Masses I have attended in the past 5 days...


The kids thought it was interesting...

I am a very liberal Catholic so while I don't always agree with the church...I really can get into these types of rituals...

1. it is so precious when the kids are involved

the only time I enter a church is to go to Christmas mass with my grand children.

My grandson (one of the identical twins) went up to the priest for a blessing , and after the Father blessed him he did an "arm fart" REAL LOUD :evilgrin:

2. Baby Bunny got to crown the BVM when she was that age. It was a week or so

after she got First Communion, the girls wore their dresses and the boys wore their suits. It was very nice and relaxed.
