Evidently, he and his wife had had a bad experience there and been sent $50 in cash-equivalent coupons. OMG people, you have got to get your hands on some of this stuff! The waitress took the coupons as payment and a few second later a manager was out there asking us how things were. My only advice is that you ask the waitron if you can pay with the money first, that way the manager can come out and make sure everything is good for you from the beginning.

1. Smart to have the manager on alert.
Someone in Chili's management is thinking.

2. yeah, but it only happend at the end when we paid with the coupons.
Next time, we'll be sure to make them a bit visible at the beginning of the meal. We want those margaritas coming fast!

3. We once had some from Crapplebee's.
We had some nice attention also. Our complaint was the lack of lighting on the couple of steps leading to the upper level. My Dad is nearly blind and that little light can save him from making it up safely or taking a header. Apparently, they were out the night we were there so we got a freebie and a sincere apology. The lights were fixed promptly!

4. I swore that place off.....
after they served me a salad with brown lettuce. Not brown spots- it was almost entirely brown! It was placed in front of me and my first reaction was to laugh- I was sure it was some kind of joke....

5. Yech! That's disgusting...
I like their riblets and they're easy for Dad to eat. I rarely order salad out -- iceberg doesn't agree with me and that's basically all it is -- overpriced iceberg. I'd rather make my own at home. Oh, and here's a surprise, I get the Costco Spring Mix for $3.49 -- it lasts a week's worth of good sized salads and it's the best deal around.

There I go again, shilling for Costco.

6. We don't have Costco stores here....
Just Wal-Marx and Target- both of which I try to avoid as much as possible.

7. wow that happened to me in the late 90s!
i've never eaten there again, i'm not sure i would have taken the complainer cash if it was offered

maybe they were going to offer, i did send a letter of complaint and they tried to phone back several times but i felt i had said what it had to say and didn't feel like chatting about it any more so i never took their calls

brown lettuce, yikes, get some damn lights in that kitchen and look at what you're putting on people's plates!

when did you have the brown lettuce experience?

10. It would have been in the early 90's...
And I haven't been back. We also have Calendar's which offers the same fare and is MUCH better.

After writing a letter of complaint to their PR folks about the rude treatment I received at a nearby TB.
