4. Never been? Definitely go!
Fair warning though -- Sunday morning is Bay to Breakers with its attendant street closures and crowds.

running Bay-to-Breakers this weekend; because parking at Coit can be pretty bad anyway. If you drive up and get in line there is limited parking at the summit...hard to tell how long you'll have to wait, though.

Otherwise, park lower down and hike up (depending on how old your kids are; the route we take is kinda' steep). The view from the top is great, and there are some really nice WPA era murals inside, too!

Best of luck! :hi:

edit: must...remember...to...use...spellcheck...

19. BTW...on a 'small world" note...my daughter's
"soon-to-be-inlaws" live in San Ramon. Great People !! Our company also painted the exterior of the San Ramon Regional Medical Center, before I retired in January. That's a nice part of the East Bay... :D

22. Awesome!
San Ramon is an excellent place to live if you are raising a family.

If you're single, not so much so. In fact I have no idea what the Tri-Valley singles do out here...

8. Well, after last weekend, anything will seem like a letdown, but...
We took the wee one (now nearly 5 months old!) to a farmers market, a Celtic festival, a historic mill (that's still running!), the mall, the library and the cell phone store. Tomorrow, we're planning to (hopefully) pick up my car post-inspection, pick up a new mattress, go to the world's biggest chicken BBQ, and go to a museum to see a Lego art exhibit.

And at some point during the weekend, I need to learn to play, among other songs, "Get Down On It" and "Let's Go Crazy" for my gig at Trump Marina next weekend.

11. There's a winery about 20 miles north of here.
So we'll probably go up there and take a tour and, of course, a few free samples. :P Other than that, it's yard work and laundry. :P

This is the first weekend in ages that I have no obligations and can do whatever I want!

I'm not even going to think about it until I wake up tomorrow!

15. Canoeing and Spamalot
Canoeing with 12 middle schoolers on the Brandywine River (Philadelphia area) and traveling to New York to see Spamalot on Broadway. New York trip involves going to textile museum, but I'll survive that.

20. I was the "Photographer" at my younger daughter's
Junior/Senior banquet last Sunday, so I will be editing pictures this weekend.

BTW: This might be a good weekend to take those youngsters up to the top of Mount Diablo, and then to a picnic at Rock City. I don't think it's going to be too hot this weekend...

21. First on the list is taking my dog for a much needed grooming.
Then it's yardwork and repainting the frame to a cast off garden bench I found in the dumpster. The guys I work with have already cut, drilled and painted the new wooden slats for me. Then there are those plants that I bought that still need to be potted up (I've become a big fan of container gardening). The weatherman has promised us a gorgeous weekend and it would be a shame to waste it by staying indoors.
