[Doubtful Optimist]

This is an art piece by Randy Polumbo. He's an artist out of Manhattan.

I saw and fondled this piece over the weekend. It's on display at Art Queen in Joshua Tree, CA.

If you take the long drive out there, make sure you ask to see the chicken show.

He uses solar panels in most of his work to provide the power. The piece I posted is completely solar powered. The missile shell body is full of batteries that are charged from the solar panels.

At night, it really is a work of art. It's really hard to describe.


One of the installations I saw was his 'Chicken Show.'

I'm not going to even try to describe it. It's chicken-meet-football-meat-ostrich feathers-meet-pulsating dildos, all moving in synch with each other.

There will be video of that piece posted soon (I hope) and I'll put it up here when it is. I laughed for about 20 minutes while watching this. I still laugh when I think about it.
