Anybody ever see a UFO?
I was watching Close Encounters Of The Third Kind on Saturday night, then afterward as I was setting my alarm clock a morning talk-radio show was discussing UFOs. Coincidence. They were talking about the Phoenix Lights Case - I live in Tucson - and it just all interested me. I do believe there has to be something out there, I'm not too knowledgable on the topic however. Never witnessed a possible UFO or anything like that. Just curious about what you all think.

I added a video link to the Phoenix event.

1. We saw lights over parts of Arkansas for years...
We'd call the FAA but they'd say nothing was there...turns out it was the (government agency) dropping drugs at a small airport during the Reagan years...two boys were murdered because they were caught watching it all.:tinfoilhat:

2. No, I haven't
but I have talked to some people who did (an incident that was somewhat sensationalized and misrepresented in Alan Lnadsburg's book In Search of Extraterrestrials It happened in 1975 in Northern Wisconsin.

These were good, solid, down-to-earth people AND eqaully solid law enforcement types. They don't know what they saw but there is little doubt they saw something. The Police officers were very reluctant to discuss the incident with me....they said that people would think they were wacko......

3. I Have Seen An Unidentifed Flying Object
but it was only "unidentified" and "flying" and an "object"... but it wasn't an alien spaceship from another world.

But wouldn't it be fun if it had been?

9. Allen, I agree with you.
I have seen an Unidentified Flying Object too. All I can say for it is that it was an unidentified flying object -- it appeared as a bright light moving either slowly at lower altitude, or very fast at high altitude southeast across the sky, then made an abrupt 90 degree turn and shot off at an extremely high speed. I described it to my dad, the pilot, and he wasn't sure what it could be, so to this day it remains unidentified.

I think too many people are too willing to ascribe supernatural or extraterrestrial explanations to what would be perfectly commonplace situations if only they had a little more information.

I mean, someone could have been testing a VIF aircraft that night -- it's unlikely, but there *are* air force bases around...

16. Alien? The one I saw was definitely alien.
After all, I saw it in another country. I mean, the object could have been American, as were those with me who saw it, but the sighting itself would qualify as alien, since we were aliens in that country.

4. Yes
While walking back to my dorm after dinner. I was with my evil-ex. We were looking up trying to spot Orion and saw a UFO instead. It was pretty neat. :-)

11. Unidentified Flying Objects? Sure, All the Time!
They're probably regular old planes and helicopters, but my eyesight isn't very good, and I can't usually identify them. :smoke:

18. Let's all make fun of Rainbowreflect ...
for being the only one who wouldn't talk about it!

Fun, fun, fun.

Now, c'mon, what did you see?

By the way, the one I saw was just a light in the sky. But it did things (become brighter and dimmer, move rapidly across large arcs of the sky, appear to shoot out other, dimmer lights) that we didn't think any aircraft could do.

So, it was probably some secret military aircraft.

15. Yes, and I definitely identified it as an UFO.
Which confused me, because I'd identified it.

Seriously, I did see one over three decades ago. I was with several witnesses who had all been drinking at least as much as I had.

19. Yep, reported it to the Army
around 1964 in Milwaukee. A reddish-orange shape changing thingie that was totally silent and very, very quick, whatever it was showed up on the radar at Timmerman Field.
