Cops catch up with Wienermobile; determine dog isn't hot
http://www.tucsoncitizen.com/daily/local/55888.php

DAVID L. TEIBEL
Tucson Citizen

Officers trying to take a bite out of crime stopped the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile
on Interstate 10 Wednesday morning.

Not that state Department of Public Safety officers relished a traffic stop.
Nor was the Wienermobile driver hot-dogging.

But when an officer ran a computer check on the giant hot dog, in a bun, on wheels,
notice came back that its plate was stolen, DPS spokeswoman Officer Carmen Figueroa said.

Soon after the Weinermobile was pulled over about 10:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes, near the
South Sixth Avenue interchange, officers piled on the scene.
