We got our seat confirmation: Row H, seats 27 and 29, center right.

I think the first concert will feature "Pictures at an Exhibition." I'm not certain, I'll have to check but I think the arrangement is Rachmaninoff, Vladimir Ashkenazy conducting.

Deb is in HEAVEN.

The BSO is doing Mahler's 3rd at Tanglewood on Sunday. Wish I could go. It's supposed to be a lovely weekend too, and Tanglewood is really the loveliest place to see the symphony.

Wolftrap in VA is pretty good too.

I'm going to make you feel bad: the tickets are for the full Saturday Night 2007/2008 Concert Series, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Max Fisher Center.

(Hilary Hahn will be doing the Beethoven Violin Concerto later in the season! Gloat gloat. )

And I forgot: Itzhak Perlman will be conducting half the season! Immanuel Axe is conducting, too!

It cost us $375 with parking for 7 concerts. We don't get no X-mas or Birthday presents now. This is IT.

10. Can't Wait!

It's like a tonic for me. I find I can handle life so much better with regular symphony, art and natural history museums, and historic touring.
