And Woody Guthrie wrote a lot of beautiful songs for his kids too.

I sing my best songs about my kids. As a public service however, I do not sing them publicly.

ANy musician able to capture a part of that emotion will have a beautiful song.

Sad, but the first thing that came to mind when I read this was Clapton's "Tears in Heaven." To me it's his most beautiful song--unbelievably painful and positive at the same moment.
