2. There is a website devoted to messing with these guys...
They get them to send their fake checks via fedex and then spring on them that the scammer has been scammed out of $100 in delivery charges...

The emails there are amusing as well...

10. I saw a funny one the other day there
It was in the estate sales section. The family was holding a sale to get rid of Grandma's stuff, as she was going to a nursing home. One of the items offered was "decorated bowels."
