One of the worst fall outs I have ever seen in MLB - the Mets
it was like watching a train wreck the last 6 weeks...could not look away, but really wanted to...

I was on their side too...what a shame.

And this from someone used to watching train wrecks (Red's fan...for everlovingawdgetsomepitching)

1. This is the year that the "Miracle Mets" became
the "Miserable Mets."

2. Oh well, there is the one game playoff today for the rabid
Padres versus Rockies...I have to go with the underdog Rockies

yeah, I am a big fan of baseball...and my preference is to watch it live, or LISTEN...I just love the radio ambiance of baseball.

3. Yeah. I'll be watching and rooting for the Rockies....
But, my team won it all last year. Die-hard Cardinals fan for 40 years. That being said, I hope the Cubbies go all the way.

and watching the Cards and the Reds....whenever hubby says the word "bastard" when referring to a baseball player, he is only referring to one of two people:

1. Pujols

or

2. Bill Hall - Brewers

Have a great day! - and BTW - we will be rooting for the Indians, but if push came to shove, we would root for the division. And what a wonderful division it was this year (cough cough)

5. I'd say there are a lot of baseball fans outside the Cardinals
world who would refer to Pujols as a "bastard." He is, after all, going to end up being the best to ever play the game. 7 straight years, beginning with his rookie year, of 30+ home runs and 100+ RBI's in a season. And, it's not going to end anytime soon.

I was in Cincinnati, BTW, many moons ago, and watched George Foster hit 3 home runs, all in the upper deck--one to left, one to right, and one to center field against the Braves. Tom Seaver pitched that game for the Reds, and hit a home run, himself.

That's back when the Reds were a good team...(thought I'd add that in for your hubby.) BTW, I used to work with Pete Rose's first wife. She used the same word to describe her ex-husband that your husband uses for Pujols. :D (And, I still think that Rose should be in the Hall of Fame).

7. And, speaking of the Indians....
I was in Cleveland and got to see Luis Tiant pitch against Dennis Eckersley way back when, too. The game went Zero to Zero for 9 innings. The tribe won it in the 10th. Those guys were pitchers!!

8. Sigh
I truly love the game..rivalries aside, it is my favorite sport to watch...all teams.

We think it is the only game that has remained true to what it was way back...make sense?
