LOS ANGELES - Britney Spears has lost custody of her children, Access Hollywood has learned.

According to court documents obtained by Access, Kevin Federline will be granted custody of the couple’s two kids — Sean Preston and Jayden James — on Oct. 3.

Federline will retain custody “until further notice of the Court.”

LOS ANGELES -- A judge on Monday ordered Britney Spears to turn over custody of her two young sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline this week.

Superior Court Judge Scott M. Gordon ruled that Federline will take custody of Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, beginning Wednesday "until further order of the court."

According to TMZ.com, Gordon also ordered Spears to take parenting classes and undergo random drugs.

want the kids full time anyway. She made a mistake in having two kids right away and the girl is obviously not mature enough to be a full time mother based on her irrational behavior. She loves her children dearly, I'm sure but full time, nope she ain't havin it.

TMZ knows exactly why Britney lost custody -- she ignored the Commissioner at every turn.

Rewind to last month. L.A. County Commissioner Scott Gordon ordered Spears to do a number of things in order to maintain 50/50 custody.

Spears was ordered to meet with a drug counselor -- she didn't do it.

Spears was ordered to submit to drug testing -- she didn't do it.

Spears was ordered to enroll in parenting classes -- didn't do it.

Spears was also required to sign the judge's order -- again, she didn't.

And last Friday, Commissioner Gordon prohibited both Spears and K-Fed from driving the children unless they had a valid California driver's license. Gordon was pissed today when TMZ posted video of Spears cavalierly driving her kids around Malibu.

In short, Spears did everything wrong ... by doing nothing.

she learns to drive, gets a driver's license, drives sober, drives with the kids in their car seats, gets off drugs, and takes parenting classes.
