17. well DANG! That looks like a bacon production device!
Is it teflon coated? Pancakes would be my husband's choice. We need to get him one, but I have been watching for just cast iron, not coated.

27. that's an idea... but it's not that kind of fresh bread
it's the NYT 'no knead' bread so it really doesn't lend itself to grilled sammies

24. Crepes for dinner , of course. Or, if you...
made something else, roll up some blueberry preserves in the crepes and you got blintzes for dessert.

28. None offhand-- haven't made them in ages, but...
they're really just a pancake batter with maybe more butter and less baking powder.

I never measure pancake batter, but this is about what I'd do:

2 cups flour
1 cup unflavored yogurt or a tablespoon or so of melted butter (optional)
pinch salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
two eggs
a little vanilla
water, milk, coconut milk, or buttermilk to bring to right consistency-- a little runnier than pancake or waffle batter.

Or, just google a recipe.

Just remember that dessert crepes (blintzes, blinis... ) do require a healthy dollop of fresh sour cream.

:hi:
