I'm such a nerd.
I think I have an academic crush on one of my professors.  It's definitely not a romantic thing - he's just a really cool prof who has a lot of really interesting ideas, and for once I'm actually stressed out about writing a good paper. Usually I just worry about getting a decent one done and handed in on time - the deadline, rather than the quality of the paper, is what stresses me out - but for this class, I really want to do well. It's a senior seminar class, so he knows all of us pretty well, and I don't want him to think I'm a total idiot. I am really interested in the subject matter of the class (which is why I'm taking it as my senior seminar!), but I don't always express my ideas well, and to be honest I'm a little intimidated. This professor is really laid-back and chill in person, but he's also brilliant and has done a lot of groundbreaking work in this field, so I can't just BS it anymore.

I'm not sure I have an actual point here, per se - I just wanted to vent. :hi: Thanks DU!

2. I know how you feel.
I had an English class with a prof who turned out to be a published author who published regularly in magazine to which I subscribed.

Talk about PRESSURE in writing a paper. Not only did I need to "know" my subject I had to write it well. Very well. Better than well. I nearly had a stroke everytime I had to turn anything in.
