Unbelievable! Last week my oven exploded and now...
my dishwasher isn't working!! :argh:

I started it last night and went to get a clean coffee cup and a spoon this morning
and all is still dirty and there's about two inches of cloudy water in the bottom
and I can't turn the knob to start it up!! :banghead: %&$#@!

I don't want to call the owner as he's a real tool!! But I'm going to have to call him! :grr:

My son volunteered to wash ALL the dishes though!! :P I hope he keeps that promise! ;)

I just had to get my aggravation off my chest! :nuke: Sorry!

I'm trying to pack to move but I can't pack dirty dishes!

So, now I'm stuck or held up and that was the plan for today.

I'm so sick of it!!!!

1. I can't get past one line of your post
"My son volunteered to wash ALL the dishes though!!"

I know your post was meant to be a rant.... but I'm choosing to see the silver lining on the cloud.

I'm sorry your dishwasher is busted; that really sucks.

2. Yeah, well, I take that 'promise' with a grain of salt!
:P

He is good hearted kid but he also promised to take out the trash and 2 days later,

I had to remind him...again!! And he 'promised' to clean up after himself and I have

to remind him daily and he promised to clean his room and start packing and that hasn't

happened yet either! So, I suspect I'll be doing the dishes but I have to get a dish

strainer first. My wooden one broke too. :(

4. In a pinch you can get by with dishtowels on the counter
Edited on Tue Oct-02-07 02:04 PM by Gormy Cuss
If you have any cookie rack, put one of those on the counter and a dish towel on top for a makeshift dish drainer. Without a cookie rack, a dish towel on the counter is okay for short term draining but you'll still need to have someone drying the dishes pronto.

Been there!

6. I've done that before too but it's
a pain in the a**! :P Especially with dinner plates.

I hate doing it that way and I have pots and pans all over the counter too.

But, I'll probably end up doing it that way anyway.

Thanks for the advice. you're right.

5. LOL! That would be me!
Pissing off the appliance gods! :P

Yeah, well, the computer is new and not landlord supplied! :P

I think all the appliances here are well over 15 years old.

The landlord tried to tell me that the stove was "new" too (less than five yrs.)

but his workmen, that came to pick it up, said it was over 15 yrs old!!

He, the landlord, is such a liar and a total A**hole! :grr:

8. Our fridge was dying and it took a year to get a new one from our Landlord
For years and years I never had landlord problems, never realized how they could be such pains until this one. Nonresponsive, cheap...I feel your pain. Good luck!

9. I hear that!
When I've lived in apt. complexes the maintainence guys were right on any problems
but this jerk, always first off says and blames the tenants or tries to say it's all
in our minds!! Until we got it on video! :P (windows leaking) I own my own fridge and
washer and dryer. And they all work fine. It's only his stuff that's breaking. :grr:
He's so cheap! Both my stove and dishwasher should've been replaced years ago!
I'm worried about moving again, as I don't want to deal with another a-hole, like this guy.
