Anybody Heard Springsteen's New Album Yet?
As a huge fan I am wondering if anyone has bought "Magic" yet, which I believe is out today.

It is being compared by some critics to "The River," which is an auspicious sign.

Apparently, it is a real rock and roll album.

If you have it, what album is it like? Is it more like "Born in the U.S.A." than the recent work?

Hopefully, I'll stop by a store later this week and pick it up myself.

1. Not all of it

I have heard "Radio Nowhere," "You'll Be Coming Down," "Livin' In The Future," "Gypsy Biker," "Magic," "Last To Die," and "Long Walk Home. Heard samples of the others. I call tell it's classic Springsteen and definitely could be my album of the year! A+++! It does remind me of Born In The USA, but it is more than another Born In The USA since BITUSA had 80-style production with the big drums. More organic than The Rising, Magic also seems to incorporate some of The River's great moodiness.

"Radio Nowhere" is like no other Springsteen album. It has early punk-style guitar.

2. I have heard it....

had it for about a month. the first album I ever illegally downloaded in my life. But I had to hear it.

And is very 'River" like in the way it sounds. As with most Bruce records, I think having the words in front of me will help. It does get better with each listen. The last four songs are my favorites (don't have them in front of me) magic is great too.
