Yes, Showgirls was an utter sleazefest.... And I really loved it!

Paul Verhoeven, the famed Dutch director of Soldier of Orange, Total Recall and Basic Instinct really outdid himself in exposing the sleazy underbelly of Las Vegas show dancing.

Since I've never been to Vegas, I appreciate the way he ripped the veneer off of this mysterious sub-culture and provided insight to someone who will probably never have the opportunity to immerse myself in it.

Showgirls... What a great movie!

2. Never seen it
Personally you can't do better at doing badly than "From Justin to Kelly" so bad that I actually want to own it.

4. what is that really famous female photographer...
that photographs all the celebrities? In her book, I think it was called "Women", she has several photgraphs of 'showgirls' both in and out of their costumes, in their day clothes they seem very down to earth and it is clearly the way they put food on the table. Because of that it kind of seemed to me like the characters that the Berkeley and Gershon played were stereotypes and neither actress even tried to give them any real substance. That may have been the directors fault, I guess.

wow, the way that reads it sounds like she had a child at 52, unless I am reading it wrong.

That book is just too amazing to even try to describe in words.
