6. I've only brewed four 1 gallon batches so far and I've learned two things...
1) get the damn measurements right. :) That one I learned the hard way.
2) Don't use cheap regular honey that comes in the plastic containers. Yes, the nasty aftertaste WILL go away after a month or so of aging, but it still doesn't taste that great after that. And all of the extra bits of pollen and whatnot that add the flavor to the drink have been leeched out before the honey even got to you. Thankfully that wasn't a 'hard way' lesson, because I only used the cheap stuff in my first two test batches, where I was just working out proportions and whatnot for the two REAL batches that are brewing right now. :)

3. Yes and I love it.
Haven't had morning stiff neck or aching back since I started using it.

Don't spend $40. Make your own. You can get buckwheat husks for next to nothing from a farm/garden supplier like Agway. One of those zip up pillow covers, fill it half way with the husks and hey presto.

10. Drool stains. jeez. Mine too.
This is SO embarrassing.
Lately I drool in my sleep.
OK, not just 'lately'...for a few years now.
GROSS

I guess it's 'age related'.

7. Why are you thinking of getting one?
I'm not familiar with them and was wondering if you could tell me what the supposed benefits are.

Thanks.

11. greater comfort, neck support
I'm a side sleeper with very wide shoulders. I'm hoping the firmer support will help, and the greater breathability over polyester will hopefully mean no more sweaty hair when I wake up.

This is the one I got: http://amazon.com/dp/B000G2NQWG?tag=gbase-20
It's a bit pricey but they're supposed to last for 10 years or more. Since I don't get much sleep these days with a toddler and a preschooler in the house and a second job at night I need to maximize the quality of the sleep I do get :)
