Are you quick to apologize?
When you do or say something that would hurt someone, are you quick to apologize to that person?

3. I try not to do or say things that will hurt someone in the first place
Unfortunately I inadvertantly did that last night and I did say that I was sorry. I don't think it helped, though. The person still thinks I'm a dick.

4. Yes.

This is one thing that really ticks me off about management, in at least 99.99999% of the workplaces in the US. They never effing apologize for anything.

5. Not so much. If I've messed up badly enough to need to apologize, it typically takes me
a while to cop to it.

10. yes.
I've even apologized when I knew it was not my fault in the name of diplomacy, although sometimes (at work anyway) I will couch the phrase in such a way that lets them know that I still am not at fault. This is only when I am being thrown under a bus for something I am not responsible for. A rough translation would be "I apologize for missing that important information you forgot to tell me at the beginning of the project."

22. Of course. I say "I'm sorry that you got so upset about what I said.
Had I known you were so hypersensitive, I would only have said it behind you back, not to your face." ;)

Truthfully, yes - when I come to realize that I'm in the wrong about something, I try to apologize as quickly as possible...

24. It depends on whether they deserved it or not.
But if I mis-stated what I meant to say and I hurt somebody by my dumbness, then yes.

Otherwise, no way.

26. it depends on the person
some people, such as hubby, are so sweet and kind that if i snap at them, i feel bad and apologize immediately

some people are such fuckwits that you can NEVER apologize or admit you might be wrong because they will seize on it forever, and with those people, even if i feel bad about hurting them by accident, i'd rather let the hurt stand than deal with the bullshit i've learned that comes from apologizing
(mom?)
