I want Jim DeMint GONE GONE GONE
Got this from an email he sent. (I had emailed to try to let him know that I didn't like a lot of the stuff he was voting for, so now I get all this crap from his office)

America is at a crossroads on the issue of health care. Over the next few years, decisions made by politicians in Washington will determine whether our nation slides toward socialism or reaffirms the freedom that has defined our country.

This is what I sent back:

When it comes to our health care, the government should not be selling us out to the insurance companies...which is what you want to do.

I've been to other countries and had to have medical care in what you would consider a 'socialized' health system. Ours is third world by comparison.

I know it isn't Republican to actually care about the people who work for a living and don't have a net worth over $5 million but if you keep squeezing us, hoping we'll die out before you have to deal with us, you will have a very large surprise waiting for you at the next election. Even your 'base' is getting fed up with 'compassionate conservatism' that leaves people hungry, sick and unable to care for themselves...and then blames them for their condition.

I know it probably won't do any good but I just couldn't stand it any more.

1. I'd like him to vanish too; one of the very worst, but he isn't going anywhere I'm afraid.
South Carolinians aren't getting rid of him. We need a scandal of some magnitude to bring him down, but even that might not be enough.

2. I just got a very long reply from him
saying, in essence, that only the insurance companies can handle health care needs properly and there's no way he'd ever back a single payer system. Oh yes, he knows that there are many without insurance and those with insurance that won't ever come close to treating an infected hangnail, but the insurance companies know best.

Gag, barf.
