moissanite! (part 2)

Some of you may remember that i posted a while back asking about moissanite -- the super neat lab-created mineral that is equivalent/superior to diamonds in most ways (http://www.moissaniteco.com/guide_properties.html). Especially attractive to me because it's eco-friendly and doesn't require mining. Well, my fiance and i ordered it, and it came today! And let me tell you, it is STUNNING!!!! I couldn't stop looking at it.

The part that has me tickled pink: we took it to a jeweler to have it put in the setting. He looked at it for a long time, under the lens and everything, and he kept referring to it as a diamond! I finally enlightened him cuz i felt bad... but oh i enjoyed it in the meantime!

My 2 cents... if you're thinking about getting engaged (or just like sparkles) this is TOTALLY the way to go!
