Is it too early for a cover song thread?
I'm a total cover song freak! Please post your favorites!

Here's my latest favorite - Nelly Furtado (LOVE her) doing Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" (still hooked on that song):

1. The Cliks
They have a really awesome version of "Cry Me A River" by Justin Timberlake on their CD, and in their concerts they also perform a reall moody-rock version of "Irreplaceable" by Beyonce. It's really kind of unexpected but very good!

2. Wow, definitely a real take-off
instead of an imitation. (Although I did like their take on Timberlake's falsetto refrain!) I almost didn't recognize it, but it grew on me. I might have to listen to it a few times, but I might end up liking it more than the original. Or at least in a different way. Thanks!

6. Speaking of Johnny Cash...
I've never heard the original (Nine Inch Nails) version, but I LOVE his cover of "Hurt."

He sounds like Dylan and I see some Dylan covers on his page. Do you mean the NIN song "Hurt"?

9. Cheating
This is not a cover song, but it's one of the most haunting bluegrass/folk songs I've heard in ages, I've been looking around to find out if it is an original, I just can't believe it.

Lost in the Silence - The Dixie BeeLiners
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=15184620
(you might have to click on the song to get it to play the right one)

if anyone has ever heard another version of this let me know, I figured it was from the turn of the century or something, because the phrasing sounds so archaic to me.
