What the Hell happened to A&E? It is pathetic -

Tell us all about your favorite show.. Why do you like it?

I love House Hunters on HGTV - other shows on the network I love: Anything with Vern Yip, Divine Design, - Then there is Holmes On Homes on Discovery Home - Makes me sing Oh, Canada out loud.

1. Global

It's a Canadian channel that has American shows from all networks. It shows The simpsons, desperate housewives, survivor, boston legal, Heroes, etc. If I could only have one channel for the rest of my life, that would be it.

2. FoodNetwork and Discovery Civilization.

And I agree, A&E sucks these days.

And what's with renaming all the channels something stupid? I mean, Peachtree TV!?!?!?!? Puh-leese!

3. Speed - for the Formula 1 racing.

Spike - for the Star Trek
Sci Fi- For Enterprise, BSG et. al.
History/Science/Discovery - when they show something more interesting that thinly veiled military recruitment docs.

5. I think I've watched more TV on my computer than on my TV lately.

Mostly MASH reruns lately... The show was on season 10 or so when I was born, so I really didn't get to see it the first time around. Now I'm realizing how timeless it is. :)

The Science Channel is also great, and so is History.

watched the same episode of Top Chef repeatedly. On a few occasions I've even watched the new episode at nine and then watched the rerun at ten.

I skipped Top Chef but I am going to pick it up in reruns.

so much better than PBS and NPR...

save for The Simpsons, Earl and 30Rock- all TV is shit.

Being serious for a moment, al Jazeera (the English language one) is fascinating - I like to go through the various international news channels to see how they all reflect the world. I get a choice of British (Sky News and B.B.C. News24), American (C.N.N. and Fox), Indian, Arab, French and Russian.

I love independent film, then it seems like when there isn't anything on it's either food or boomerang.
