Gheesh! It's hot as hell here and muggy. Blah!

I'm dying from thirst. My throat is parched.

Time for a cold beer or drink !! :P

Here's one for you too! :)

Crap! I'm out of everything except soda! Gotta go to the store asap! :yoiks:

1. that is normal in Texas, so is that where you are?
yeah you could be having a late surge of summer. Have you even had your first really cool day yet? We won't until around Thanksgiving.

3. No, I'm in Mass. It should be
in the 60's by now and cool/damp sort of, but it's like August here.

We're having adrought too. There's a ban on watering outside.

I should turn on the AC but the sun is going down and it'll cool off soon.

I'm running a fan instead. Stay cool!! :)

2. I actually have the air conditioning on right now. It's 85 degrees here.
Of course, the flip of this is that it could snow any day here, because Colorado's weather is just weird.

It IS a gorgeous day out there, however. I LOVE fall weather like this in Colorado!

4. It's pretty here (blue sky) too but the tree's aren't
changing here yet, where I am. They are up in NH & Maine though.

My brother lives in CO and he says the same thing about the snow there.

I think it snowed in Aspen in August last year, if I recall his phone call correctly!

CO. is so beautiful! You're lucky to live there! :)

I honestly am starting to think I'll never live anywhere else, and I'm perfectly okay with that.

6. Massachusetts is a hell hole now....
I'm a Coke addict, so I'm all set....don't need a beer! This is the strangest weather...and we all know it's going to get worse...
But then....I always complain about the weather....Can't recall having the AC on in October ever, though....

peace~

8. I know! I don't remember running the AC this late either. (big pic)
The weather is bizarre and I was looking forward to sweaters and long pants and the colorful
tree's and those vibrant autumn skies that the northeast is known for in the fall.

I want the mugginess to go away...now!! ugh!

30. What a beautiful photo.....
Thank you for sharing...I'm still waiting for those trees....
I love the fall...
And this so strange....I was on the playground with the preschoolers the other day....and looked around...thinking about the vibrant leaves that were supposed to be on the ground...
No piles to rake and jump in....it was eerie....
This isn't right.....

And it's almost midnight now....and still hot....ugh!

peace~

7. We went back to school on Aug. 22 and in all that time,
there was only one day that I didn't come home drenched in perspiration. We are in western PA and the buildings are NOT air-conditioned. It is practically unbearable.

We are supposed to get rain Tues, and then cooler temps, but it is going to be near 90 tomorrow and Monday. I am still wearing sleeveless tops and capris to school everyday. I am giving all of my sweaters to Goodwill. I'll never need them again!

10. Don't give the sweaters away just yet!! lmao!
You will need them very soon! :P

I was feeling the same about my winter clothes and the moths are lining up for dinner!

It gets really cold in Penn. and MA and it will soon enough. The weather will be changing.

They already had a frost threat in NH and ME last week. ;)

And every morning, my car is covered with more and more thick morning dew.

It's coming! . . . .

9. Hot here too.
Yes, here in NE ILlinois, I gave in and turned the AC on. Usually, at this time of year I'm trying to hold out about turning the heat on!

My spouse and I were just sitting around sweating until I did that.

My sons still live out that way. Say hi to them, if you see them, will you? ;)

14. Oh well, life sucks in the big city.
I never claimed to be perfect nor am I anal-retentive about others missteps with grammar usage either.

:eyes:

1. anal retentive

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=anal+retentive

146  , 13

A term used to refer to a person who feels a need to be in control of all aspects of his
or her surroundings. Or, in other words, an anal retentive person "can't let go of shit."

See also: One who is excessively insistent upon the smallest detail of something

Actually, that's a pretty good definition.

Upon appeal, the court decides: Free beer, on the house (i.e., Skinner's paying!).

15. It wasn't quite as bad as they said here in SE PA, but it still
has been annoyingly warm! The 15-day offers hope, with temps in the 60s and 70s starting Tuesday. Maybe even a 50s or two.

Not terribly muggy, and it does cool off at night. But it's still 85.

And there are still global warming deniers. :eyes:

27. 87 in Minnesota
And to top it off, the management company for the building I live in inexplicably decided yesterday was the day to turn off the air conditioning and to drain the pool. Apparently they don't watch the weather forecast. Too bad the heat is fully operational. I found that out the hard way. I turned on the air conditioning this morning before I left for the day and returned to a sweat house that only had hot air blowing out of the vents.

28. I hate it when the apt management does that!!
Edited on Sat Oct-06-07 08:35 PM by Breeze54
I used to live in a large apt. complex and they'd drain the pool as soon as Labor Day was over!
And it was still 100 degrees F!! I hated that! Not that I hung out at the pool much but the kids
did and they were cranky after that, for weeks, until it got colder. I'm surprised that Minnesota
is so hot at this time of year! Usually, my local weather TV is talking about the 'early' snows up
that way by now! I hope you find some relief from the heat! It's 65F here now, at 9:33 PM est.
