I just found a puppy in the parking lot.

We were coming back from lunch and spotted an approximately eight week old rottweiler puupy wandering around; totally adorable and beautiful by the way! My lunch companion only had to stop the car and open the door and the little fella bounded over to us, happy and curious as, well, as a puppy.

For the record he wasn't wearing any collar or tags, but at his age I wuoldn't be surprised if he HAD been, but managed to get rid of it.

I work at a place which is right across a VERY busy street from a large subdivision, and I think t's pretty clear he just got loose and wandered over, but is much too dangerous to leave him alone and hope he wanders back. I had security call community services to pick him up--of course a couple of the ladies I work with are rottweiler and puppy-o-philes so they're mad they didn't get a chance to play with him. I'm fairly positive his owners will be calling around soon looking for him, but we will call tomorrow and check.

An after lunch puppy encounter, not a bad way to come back to work! :puppy:

I hope that someone does take care of him until the owner picks him up.

3. Put up a couple "Found" posters in the area, if you would

Directing folks that a puppy was found (leave breed, etc out of it) and turned over to so-and-so at x phone number.

7. A friend of a friend's dogs ran away during a bad lightening storm

She looked and looked and couldn't find them, was totally devasted.

On Monday morning she went to work and was explaining to a coworker in the lunch room why she was so upset. A coworker she didn't know well was standing behind her and overheard the conversation. She said, you lost two dogs on Saturday? My daughter found two dogs on Saturday.

She told her the shelter she had taken them to, went there ASAP and recovered her doggies.

True story.
