I found 2 newspapers from the Civil War. Ask me anything!
I went to an antique book and paper show over the weekend and found tons of awesome books and newspapers. Journals written in the 1880s, sermons from the War of 1812 and decrees from King George from long before the revolution. But i loved the civil war memorabilia, I found a London newspaper from 1862 that has a sketch of Gen. Stuart with his men on patrol, and a baltimore Sun from may 1861 that has the declaration of war issued by the southern congress.

6. they had some awesome Harpers
including the famous one of US Grant leaning against the tree, but that was outside my budget, lol.

I could've spent some serious money at that thing.

9. I have Harpers weekly for 1862,63 and bound copies from 1868-1907
The library my mother worked at was going to throw them in the trash. She brought them home and I inherited them. Wish I had the 1865 edition.
What week/year was the Grant edition?

11. They had it on microfiche and other libraries in the system still had hard copy
But yeah, its still a shame that they would have ended up in a dumpster.
