From Radio_Lady and Audio_Al: "Bye-bye for a while, and keep a smile!"

We're leaving on a jet plane for Las Vegas, Nevada tomorrow. We'll be there for a few days, then on to St. George, Utah by car to be with our children and grandchildren.

We hope to visit Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park, and possibly Snow Canyon and Red Cliffs Desert Reserve.

If you have any suggestions on what to see and do in any of those places, we'd be happy to have your comments! We won't have reliable access to the Internet, but will try to get back to this post during the day Tuesday 10/9.

Thanks for all the delightful camaraderie for my newbie DU husband, Audio_Al!

2. That's our resident mountain -- Mt. Hood -- more than 11,000 ft. tall.

It's pretty spectacular and only about 50 miles from the city. Very beautiful and impressive -- but deadly for inexperienced or unlucky climbers.
