I am so depressed.
It's been such a shitty week, and it's only Wednesday. It's one of those nights when I'd like to curl up next to someone, but there is no "someone". This debit card thing has me freaked out, making contact with the ex has me freaked out, life has me freaked out. And depressed.

Thanks for reading.

1. You are not alone
I'm also in a state of utter despair and desolation right now. It's just tough. Maybe someone else can offer some words of wisdom or hope.

4. Sweetie, sometimes I get up in the AM and think,
"At least I'm not a twin conjoined at the head"
"At least I'm not stuck in a pipe"
"At least I haven't killed anyone"

6. Good thoughts, all.
I just keep wondering what I'm going to find out when I talk to the bank. How much of my money has been stolen? Okay, so I;m not stuck in a pipe (yet), but this is still shitty.

10. I know.
I throw out silver linings like it's going out of style, yet I have the same worries. It's so much easier to say things when you're not going through the problem. I tell myself to "deal". Then I go through the necessary steps. PM me if you'd like to chat. :-)

14. I think I'm just going to go to bed.
The sooner I go to sleep, the sooner I'll talk to the bank and find out just how and things are.

Thanks, though. I do appreciate it.

9. Hang in there
Put on a favorite album
Get a little cat therapy
Read something with no redeeming pseudointellectual value (I'm partial to books about UFOs and cryptozoology)

12. Keep fighting it as best you can
try to keep moving forward.

Get some sun every day if you can.

Take fish oil and vitamin D.

Get some kind of exercise. Yoga really helps me a lot.

Good luck and keep us up to date.

13. i'm kinda depressed too
more pissed than anything. i'm getting tired of stupid motherfuckers. seriously. sit on the damn bus and hear 20-somethings going, "like, like, like, like, i went to camp at interlochen."

that and i have less and less ability to put up with people's shit.

i'm a really easy-going guy, but i feel sometimes people take too many liberties.

I think using my debit card without my knowledge is taking too many liberties. What really pisses me off is that it wouldn't take that much more effort to get a real job, go to work every day, and earn their OWN shit from Banana Republic!!! But no! They'd rather steal from me.

In the mood I'm in right now, I shudder to think what I'd do to the 20-somethings you mention!
:grr:

Edited on Wed Oct-10-07 09:46 PM by Mike03
If you begin to manifest the symptoms of clinical depression, please seek help. Depression can become a very serious matter, and there is a rather superficial view of the issue in our society, especially among those who have not really suffered from depression. Treatment is effective in many cases.

Take care and be well.

19. I will, Mike.
I went through some really nasty depression about 10 years ago--at the time of the divorce. Hospitalized, even. I'll nip it before it gets to that stage again.

Thanks for your concern. Take care of yourself as well.

16. Thanks, everyone, for you hugs, kind words, and empathy.
I'm going to just go to bed. I have to deal with the bank in the AM, so I want to just go to bed until then.

My best wishes to everyone else who's depressed. I really love you, DU, for being there when I need you. Really. You have no idea.

See you tomorrow.

Sometimes all that shit converges. But then it subsides again, and you'll be ok. You just have to breathe, and wait.

One of many things making me sad. EEEK! Hope you feel better though, no one deserves to feel this way.

Don't feel bad, actually, it's so bad it's kind of funny. I mean it can get worse, and it probably will knowing my life, but it's getting to be kind of funny. I mean first my dog died then only a few days later my freaking lizard died. Oh and I'd love to go on, but you're depressed too, so I don't want to bring you down even more!
