If you like music and you havent set up your own Pandora stations yet, well- what are you waiting for? It's pretty much the coolest development in music I've ever heard of...

You type in songs or groups and it creates stations that eventually play nothing but what you like- including things you havent heard of...It's basically like being the program director of several radio shows...

I dont work for them or anything, I just love turning people on to music...It's amazing- you will thank me:

1. I've turned so many folks on to Pandora...

My main stations...

Joan Osborne...
Leonard Cohen...
Ben Folds...
Claire De Lune...
Amy Rigby...
Toni Price...
Duke Ellington...
Bright Eyes...
James McMurtry...

Then I combined them to get a real eclectic mix of music that makes me think I am running a college radio station...

2. Exactly- mixing all the stations is when it comes together...

...it's fun as hell...

I would certainly listen to a station based on Duke Ellington...too bad DJs suck these days...

3. It's not the DJ's...

It's the owners insistance that everybody play the music that comes out of marketing research...

4. Yeah- I guess I meant that I wish good DJs still had control.

Focus tested music is worse than focus tested politics!!!

6. Oh, yeah. I've been Pandora-ing for a few years now.

I've got a PAVEMENT station, an APHEX TWIN station, an AIMEE MANN station, a PORTISHEAD/STEREOLAB station a DUKE ELLINGTON station,etc, etc. It might be the best thing on teh internets.
