I have this *acquaintance*. I've known her for several years- I used to live next door to her. I can't stand her. For a length of time, I avoided her and refused to return her phone calls, because I don't like her or want to spend time with her. She's a total dick. Occasionally, when I wouldn't answer her calls, she would just show up unannounced at my house.

I thought I had finally gotten rid of her. Then I ran into her at the damn bank, today.
She got all kinds of excited, and said she's in town every day and is GOING to call me!

Nooo!

I have a really hard time being mean, but this girl will NOT take a hint, and now she's going to start stalking me again. I know it.

You might be able to resolve the issue, otherwise she has no idea why you are avoiding her. It might resolve or simply end things.


A very good friend of mine was angry about a personal matter with me, and never bothered to tell me why she was angry. She simply cut me off after 20 years of friendship. It was very hurtful and weird, so I think that a real friendship deserves that you be honest with other person, IMO.
