3. It's definitely a purposeful blog--

I think it'll just take time for people to find it as a reference--because it has a unifying topic and good information, it probably will get some good linkage on forums and such.

I've got a low-traffic blog that's pretty new, too (I started one after brutally murdering a poli-blog I started due to lack of...well, focus.) I don't think people don't like it, just that it isn't for everybody--but then again, I just blog for the heck of it.
