It's a real workout, too. I was sweating by the time I finished "Carry On, Wayward Son".

2. I've found that it's a good adjunct to my son's real guitar lessons; it helps
him with rhythm and timing, even though the "controller guitar" isn't like a real one.

3. It does absolutely nothing for me.
I'm the only gamer I know who thinks the whole thing is a little meh.

5. I read a story about Clapton today, and
grabbed my telecaster (sorry, the strat went somewhere else for nefarious reasons)

and had to play.

Layla. Something. You Look Wonderful Tonight.

6. I've always preferred bass guitar. Next time I'm over there, I'll give the bass a whirl.

8. Wasn't that the game that Joel Zumaya hurt his wrist playing
last fall?

Sounds like fun, in any case. :)

11. How does Guitar Hero actually work?
The "guitar" has no strings, right? So what does one actually play, and how accurate must one be to... "win," I guess?

12. In place of strings, it has a pinball-like flipper that you can flip up or down
like strumming strings, and that activates the game's audio strings. Instead of frets, it has colored buttons that represent notes and chords. It actually requires a certain degree of coordination to play well. Although not as much as an actual guitar, of course. B-)
