Just one week after her visitation rights with her sons were expanded, Britney Spears has lost the right to be with them yet again. Legal representatives for the singer and her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, had an ex-parte hearing for an hour on Wednesday with Commissioner Scott M. Gordon, the judge in the couple's custody case. The emergency hearing — for which neither Spears nor Federline were present — was held at the request of Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, who one week ago criticized Spears for requesting an emergency hearing to get overnight stays with her two children.

According to a court document released Thursday (October 18), Kaplan's request that Spears lose custody was granted. " visitation with minor children is suspended pending compliance with court orders," the document reads. The orders are not specified in the document, as the hearing was closed and the rest of the transcript is sealed.

Spears and Federline are both required to be present for the next hearing in the custody dispute, to be held October 26. Gordon has requested that, at the hearing, the parenting coach have a report ready to share with the court on Spears' progress. Spears was previously ordered to partake in random drug testing, individual counseling and parenting coaching, while also attending joint co-parenting counseling and re-enrolling in a Parenting Without Conflict program with Federline.

Spears was temporarily stripped of custody on October 1 and was later granted visitation rights approximately every other day with Sean Preston and Jayden James, so long as a court-appointed monitor would be present. Last week, the couple's lawyers compromised outside of the courtroom to give the singer one overnight visit per week, since she had made progress by passing her first week of random drug tests.

Anyway, hey here's a surprise! She does not want to be a mom. She wants to party and have fun. Good for her. Cut her parental ties so that maybe the children have a chance.

2. No, I geeked out on that one a couple of weeks ago...

...and without standing in her shoes, it seems that the "she does not want to be a mom" theory is perfectly valid. I understand that she's got some drug and alcohol abuse issues going on, but taking a NAP while your ex-husband attends custody hearings and you DON'T?

She seemed to embrace the "concept" of being a mom and then rejected all of the responsibilities that go with it.

If she willingly gives up her kids, she's a "bad" or "irresponsible" person in the eyes of society. If the kids are taken away from her, she can play the victim or martyr. She knows what her real motivation is, and we never will.

not only her visitation rights, but also parental rights. I hope she gets her wish.

There's a real unholy brew of anger, ignorance, entitlement and self-destruction on display here. She is completely unable to articulate it whatever is wrong. And no one around her has any motivation to get through to her. It's saddening.

9. I'm thinking complete lack of maturity

This is a woman who has had everything money could buy (and then some) since she was a teenager. She's never had a need to grow up. And she's been surrounded by people who tell her how great she is.

So naturally she's stunned that a judge can tell her what to do. Including random drug/alcohol tests to protect her children.

And she blames his actions on him "getting off on telling people what to do"--since she's incapable of understanding that his job is to enforce what was agreed upon in court.

I feel sorry for those children. And I still believe she's acting up in order to absolve her responsibilities.
