I blew them outta the water at my interview today
spent about 1/2 hr with HR person, then the big cheese came in... he loved the little proposal sheet graphic/draft I threw together for one of their products - very impressed with the combination of drafting/graphic design skills...

:nuke:

just when I thought interview was over after 20 minutes of talking he says "wait a minute, I want so-n-so to meet you"

he brings in this other guy - another 20 minutes or so, then I thought interview was done, was getting teady to pack up do the handshake thank-you very much thing and the big cheese brings in a 3rd guy...

:nuke:

all together the interview lasted over 2 hours... he tells me I'm high on his list for the job, and it may take a week or so before they get back to me -- then in passing one of the other guys mentions Access database software, so I say "I'm familar with Access, I set up a database in access at old job for product trending..."

:nuke: :nuke: :nuke:

he then says I'm their top candidate and I will be hearing from them SOON.

so we do the handshake thank-you very much stuff, and I get ready to leave, big cheese stops me, drags me into HR office to make sure I have all the company benefit info and if there are any more questions for me...

then he walks me out to my car, gushes about how I'm just what he's looking for, repeats that I will hear from them real soon

:woohoo: :nuke::nuke::nuke: :woohoo:

place seems nice, people are nice, got good vibes... fingers are crossed

3. Can't you see- he was conning you.
He even "escorted" you out of the building to make sure you didn't steal the paper clips off the desks...

Way to go. I'll bet it feels great to wow 'em. The job is yours. Kick back and relax- the phone call will happen soon!

4. Great!
Hey, that's great news. Best of luck.

Don't stop looking and rest though. Until they say you have the job, you don't.

I'm not being a wet towel it sounds like you are just the sort they are looking for.

8. Sounds to me like they were competing to make the claim of who hired you
The big cheese walks with you out to the car. The big cheese is staking out rights to say "And it was my decision to hire that person!"

9. hope so
I half expected to have a message on answering machine with a job offer when I got home... lol

maybe today? too much to hope for?

have another interview this morning - another marathon one, but this time I know ahead of time it will be at least 2 hours as they scheduled me from 11am to 1pm

meet with HR person at 11, then the department manager

job sounds interesting, but will have to see what kind of vibes I get when I walk in there - I have to pay more attention to my gut instincts

12. Fantastic
Hope you hear from them soon.

I had my first interview in 10 years and thought I did OK. I'm not expecting to hear back on this one but I at least go over my nervousness.

14. I do a number of interviews each year for my company...
Time is a good indication. If I'm not interested, then the interview will be short and sweet. The more interest, the more time.

Sounds like they invested a good amount over what they planned, so you're looking good.
