I Felt Dangerously Amused Today.
I went into the dress shop where I work feeling like John Bender. It occurred to me over and over that I simply didn't care, about fashion, my job, the masonic employee meetings before we open the store, the manager (who sent me home once RUDELY & meanly cause my skirt wasn't ironed) & the district manager. This corporate hierarchy means shit to me. I began to think of ways to cartoonize it.

Here would be my last words to the main manager: "I quit. I don't need you for a reference. You've just lost a hard worker. By the way, if you want to sound more educated, "on tomorrow" doesn't exist in English grammar. Just say "tomorrow". Also, "disrespect" is a noun, not a verb. Fuck you, and good day."

So Dangerously amused pixie dust seems to have rubbed off on me or something. Being John Bender snagged at my temper or something. I started rearranging clothes on the racks. I moved about very quickly, lost in the task. An hour later, MY manager came up and gave me a huge hug (I love this gal) and tweaked my nose and said, "I'm so proud of you". She loved the new setup.

Unrelated, I was asked out by three store buddies.
Unrelated, They're starting to use my freaking name over there.
Unrelated, one rather chilly manager smiled and said, "What you thinkin' girl?"

Still going to fill out the application at the LIBERAL store next door.

:toast:

1. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves were all in bed together feeling happy.
But then Happy got out and went to the bathroom, so they felt Doc instead.

4. That was YOU?!?

Oh geez, and here all day I was thinking it was my new bra:

"masonic employee meetings"

Ohhhh, Sugie! I'm so sorry about your screwy job. But I love love LOVE L.O.V.E. the idea of you cartooning it! (Well okay, I LOVE the idea of you cartooning anything, but that's beside the point.) Your cartoons ROCK OUT. It will be a tragedy of epic proportions if you don't get syndicated some day.

Pssst. Dangerously amused pixie dust can be potent stuff.

Be sure to use your powers for good, mostly.

:7

:hi:

5. Gawd, what first? The bra, the pixie dust or the cartooning?? *LOL*
Last to first, yours is the most relevant and pertinent name I've seen here. I feel so familiar with your attitude it killed me a little bit not to get your username ALL THE WAY. I did today, though. It just went "Click.....click.. clickclickclickclick" and I was standing at a rack untangling hangers as it happened. I chuckled a little. Such a great feeling.

I felt the power of being able to lampoon the whole silly farce. I imagined that I was somehow floating above it. I'm using my powers for good, I think. :P

And the bra! Wouldn't you look a little "ribby" with a thin t-shirt on?

I freaking love ya. LOVE ya! :loveya:  :yourock:  :loveya:
