Do any of you remember Monster Maker mold kit from the 1960s?
This was a kit with body molds of Frankenstein, The Creature, Wolfman, and Dracula, about 6 inches tall. Came with a bag of parafin and paints. You put the wax stuff in the molds and plug it in; the electricy generated melted the wax into the molds.

I tried to Google it but nothing comes up but am pretty sure it was called Monster Maker. I got it for Christmas in 1965 or 1966.

Thank you.

5. Thanks. That seems to be an updated version.
The mummy was in the original too. All the girls in my dorm wanted me to make monsters for them.

3. Oh yeah, the kid across the street who had very toy had one.
He would bribe the rest of us to be his friend so we could play with his crap. He had a VacuForm, a Beatle wig, invisible everything models, HO train set with village, and every board game ever manufactured. What a turd.

7. That is a blast from the past.
Nothing like a toy that gets REALLY hot to make for interesting afternoons--eh?

Something I was wondering about the other day was some candy mold thing that made edible candy spiders and stuff. Does anyone even know what I'm talking about here? What were those even called?

8. Incredible Edibles.
I never quite trusted them as I believed they were also made of Plasti-goop.

10. YES!!! That was it!
Some of the nastiest candy ever eaten by a kid! I think it was Plasti-goop with fruit/bubblegum flavor added. I think the main reason they were cool was because everybody KNEW how gross they were. It was a sort of a "fear factor" thing for the tastebuds.

Wow.

9. There has never been, nor will there ever be a toy like the...
Model Rockets. Those things rule. They are even more fun when you get bored watching them go up and float down, and begin to experiment with "arming" them...

Good times...

13. I had one.
I also had Incredible Edibles -- I loved how my parents gave me the equivalent of a big, flat soldering iron to play with.

The recipe for the edible creatures was some fucking awful crap. We never ate them but would find the one kid at school who would eat anything.

15. Ah, creepy crawlers. I will never forget that smell.
I hate to think how much garbage that toy, and toys like it, put into our lungs.
