My beloved fiance is watching it right now...and holy shit, it's so horrible--and I'm pretty toasty right now.

It's *that* bad.

Gah.

1. It's Michael Bay... What the hell did you expect?
My 6 year old nephew loved it.

2. I was actually pleasantly surprised when we saw it in the theatre
I was expecting MUCH MUCH worse and I have to say, it wasn't that terrible, in my humble opinion. I was fully coerced to see it by the family. Plus, the kids loved it. :D

:hi:

4. Set "Suspension of Belief" to maximum
At least the characters were interesting. Bernie Mac was funny!

5. Despite the overt propaganda, I thought it OK
One thing that sucked was that they bastardized the Soundwave character. Soundwave was fucking cool as shit.

6. It has giant robots and explosions
that's enough for most people. Why rock the boat? :)

10. It was enough for me
Then again, I saw it at the dollar theater with a bunch of nerds at 1 am.

I just wish someone other than Michael Bay would have directed it, so you could actually SEE the robots making things go 'splodey.

12. It was by no means a 'good' movie... but it could still be a 'fun' movie if you went along with it.
:)

13. I would have been mad if I'd paid full price
But it was cheap fun for a dollar. ;)

7. Get the 1986 animated movie.
Exponentially better than Bay's piece of shit.

11. I can't watch that one with anybody else in the room...
I don't want people to see me get all misty-eyed at the end. :P

8. I almost saw it back when it was in the theaters
A couple of my friends were really into "Transformers" in their childhood and convinced me to go with them. I ended up splitting up from them and seeing "License to Wed" instead, despite getting picked on a lot about it. I just had more interest in a cheesy movie with Mandy Moore in it than a cheesy movie with robots in it, though I'm pretty sure neither are actually worth devoting two hours of your life to!

9. Is Mandy Moore a giant robot that blows things up?
No?

She loses, then. ;)
