1. Ar! Goblin... Goblin...
McDonnel XF-85 Goblin. "Parasite" fighter designed to be launched from the bomb bay of a B-36 and "landed" by hooking onto a crane beneath the bomber.

How about this one? :D

31. The C-130 is like an albatross; ugly on the ground. Breathtaking in flight.
I used to watch them soar over the airfield at my Army post in Germany. I couldn't believe they were C-130's, those ugly-ass things that waddle down the runway. They looked magnificent in mid-air...

54. Are those the Polish variants?
I read somewhere that all the other variants of the AN-2 made before 1993 aren't certified, therefore they have a ton of restrictions placed on them.

Shame, really. AN-2s have the kind of STOL capabilities that bush pilots would go gaga for.

Which they did (hmm, rubber...), sometimes high enough to hit the aircraft and send it to a spectacular end. After the first few times, the pilots wre told to use a steeper takeoff angle. As if they had much control over that or anything else! :scared:
