The Khor Virap Monastery near the Turkish border with Mt. Ararat in the background.

A fantastic trip... the Fall colors were amazing.

4. Those photos are beautiful.
Thank you for that. They're reminders of the spirit & beauty in which a country can prosper after the horrors of genocide. There is an International festival here every year. I usu. go with my father. We consistently see Turks folk dancing with the Armenian dancers. It's a good feeling to watch it.

5. The pic of that small chapel quite literally took my breath away.
It was so beautiful it made me gasp. Thank you for such wonderful photos. Mt. Ararat is truly one of the most breathtaking natural wonders of the world. To get an idea of its scale, I look at Mt. Rainier out my window and remember that Mt. Ararat is 4,000 feet higher.

7. So massive it changes perspecive... Due to atmospheric conditions

sometimes it looms like a giant... other times it seems gentle and more distant.

The chapel/church is S.Grigor built in 1025 and rebuilt in the 13th century at the Monastery of Haghpat which is a UN World Heritage Site

I'm just curious as to what they represent.
