1. Who is the surgeon?
I have a recommendation for you if you don't have one yet.

3. Three of my kids got tubes due to frequent ear infections. One of
them had it done twice, once at 2 years and again at 7 years. I couldn't believe the difference it made. No ear infections for years, whereas we had been battling them several times each winter.

5. Hey cb...
Hope everything goes well for your baby. Since you've worked in an ENT clinic, you know more about this than I do, but I can tell you that my little brother got ear tubes when he was about 8 and suffered no complications. (He's 16 now, and the only issues he has are with selective hearing...lol.) :hi:

7. Best thing ever
It took 5 minutes literally and our boy is so much better off.
I actually went deaf for a period of months when I was a kid because they did not have any idea what was wrong. My parents found me with the TV volume all the way up and my hands on the screen. I remember being spun around by teachers and them making angry faces at me. I learned to lip read but boy if I wasn't looking at them it scared me.
I really appreciate being able to hear anything especially music. After the surgery the first thing I heard was a bird outside my window and the telephone which sounded like a fire alarm inside my ear.

8. good luck for baby bunnypants
and for you, it's stressful to make these decisions. Hopefully it will be a resounding success and the infections will clear up and baby will soon outgrow the need for tubes.
